Welcome to Cross Cultural Care. We are a USA based nonprofit, 501 (c), international non-government organization (NGO) that provides academic scholarships in Healthcare and Education to Liberians, as well as pairs foreign professional health care volunteers with local medical staff in Liberian public hospitals to assist with medical training and health capacity building.

We believe a stronger Liberia is within reach via education and healthcare. Empowering Liberians to improve their own lives through education and/or health care training is vital for essential improvements in their country and their people. Lack of funds should not be a barrier for motivated Liberian students who desire to study for healthcare or teaching careers. Each year, Cross Cultural Care (C3) grants competitive full-tuition scholarships to the best students that want to excel in these academic fields. Once graduated, scholarship recipients in exchange commits to return home to his or her county for a minimum of three years to work and serve their community in the public sector with the Ministry of Health or Education. This also contributes to the Liberian youth returning to and serving their home communities which is key for sustaining long term rural development.

Through education, support, clinical training, and mentoring healthcare capacity can be improved. Cross Cultural Care has created the volunteer mentoring program where foreign healthcare providers volunteer to work side by side with local liberian public hospital staff for at least one month, ideally long term.
